Acting in Motion

This class consists of 5 sessions, meeting weekly on Sundays, 10:45am-11:45am, from August 2 through August 30.

Transform the way you move, speak, and connect on stage. This workshop takes you deep into the Laban movement framework, a powerful approach to understanding how energy, intention, and physical choice shape performance. You will begin by exploring the core elements of Laban: effort, shape, and space, and then put them to work in character development, stage presence, and storytelling. As the sessions progress, the work expands into voice and emotional expression, revealing how the body drives vocal freedom and emotional truth. Each class combines practical exploration with applied scene and monologue work, ensuring the tools connect directly to performance. By the end, you will have a richer, more dynamic range and the ability to create characters that feel fully embodied, immediate, and alive in every performance.
